All of our products are have a security rating from Sold Secure and are “Silver” or above but what does this actually mean? First of all, Sold Secure are an independent, third party testing facility that test all locks against strict criteria, awarding either a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Diamond certificate to the strongest locks. They are completely impartial and don’t work for the lock manufacturers.
The categories that they award essentially reflect the amount of time per test and the tools that are used. The testing protocol is consistent which means you, as the consumer, are accurately able to assess the quality of locks, chains or anchors. The higher the grading (Bronze is the lowest, Diamond the highest) the higher the security provided by the product.
To be awarded a certain level the products need to be able to withstand the attacks listed below.

| Bicycle Diamond / Motorcycle & Motor Scooter Gold | 5 minute attack, much higher tool list including largest bolt croppers, machine based crop test to ensure at least 7 tonnes of force is achieved, drill with HSS bits etc. Does not include an angle grinder attack. |
| Motorcycle Diamond | 5 minute attack, tool list includes TCT drill bits and a 90 second angle grinder attack |
| Ground Anchors Diamond | As Motorcycle Diamond but with 1.5m builder’s bar and 5 minute angle grinder attack. |
Bronze locks really are a deterrent to opportunist thieves so a lock is better than no lock but we have set up Warwickshire Ground Anchors to ensure that your property is safe and less and less attractive to thieves which is why we only stock and supply products that are rated Silver and above.
