Security advice

Although any ground or wall anchor is better than no ground or wall anchor the quality, and therefore level of security, can vary greatly. For this reason we only stock and supply ground or wall anchors that have been Sold Secure Certified to at least a Silver Standard. So, that said, the first thing to consider is how expensive your item is and how easy it might be to steal?

If the answer is expensive and easy you need to go for the most secure option available; if the answer is not too expensive and quite tricky to steal then you can opt for a less secure option that will still be an effective deterrent.

Improving security – where to put it?

Concrete is the most secure surface; tall brick walls are good but you should always avoid tarmac and paving stones as they can be pulled up relatively easily so are simply just not secure enough at all.

You want to choose a position that’s difficult to access – it can be made even more difficult if your property is locked in front of it so the anchor itself is almost inaccessible.

We offer a fitting service for people within 30 miles of CV21. You can find out more about fitting ground or wall anchors by visiting our fitting service page.

Ask us anything…

We offer a free, comprehensive advice service where we can evaluate your property – how attractive it is to thieves, what the best options to secure this would be including the placement, fitting and the product(s) to use.
